Primary School Teaching Assistant – Torquay

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistants to support vibrant classrooms in Torquay and the surrounding Torbay area. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in young learners' lives while working within a supportive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to boost pupil confidence and progress.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support classroom management and prepare learning resources.

Required profile

• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with children in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, or coaching (highly desirable but not essential).
• Willingness to obtain a valid Enhanced DBS check.
