Primary School Teaching Assistant – Watford (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Watford. You will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to boost confidence and learning.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Encourage children’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑aged children in a school or similar setting.
• A positive, caring and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
• Willingness to hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
