About the role
We are seeking an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded special school in Hounslow. The role covers a maternity leave from September and can be based in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on class allocation. You will work with pupils who have autism, severe or profound learning difficulties and related needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver an informal, multi‑sensory curriculum tailored to low P‑level learners.
- Adapt lessons and resources to meet the specific needs of pupils with ASD and SLD.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, support staff and parents to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school’s safeguarding and pastoral frameworks.
Required profile
- Recent UK experience teaching SEN in a primary setting.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and specific learning difficulties.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic and able to work flexibly across KS1 or KS2.
