Primary SEN Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher for a new provision in Dartford (DA1). The role supports pupils aged 4‑16 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and, where applicable, Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a semi‑formal curriculum to a mixed‑ability class, adapting content to each pupil’s EHCP.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, healthcare assistants and on‑site nurses to ensure holistic support.
• Communicate regularly with parents, carers and multidisciplinary staff to monitor progress.
• Use a range of assessment and monitoring strategies to evaluate and report pupil achievement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with PMLD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, complex needs or physical/mental/sensory impairments.
• Creative, adaptable and passionate about inclusive education.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (Child or Child & Adult barred list).
