About the role
Reed Education is seeking compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs in schools around Brighton and Worthing. The position is full‑time and temporary, offering the chance to work in inclusive classroom environments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in adapting lesson materials and resources.
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to implement individual education plans.
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Relevant qualification in SEN support or education (NVQ, CACHE, Degree or equivalent).
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with teachers, parents and professionals.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
