Primary Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a creative, dedicated Primary Teacher to join a vibrant school in Leighton Buzzard for the 2026/27 academic year. The role is full‑time, classroom‑owner, and focuses on delivering child‑led, innovative lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress using formative and summative tools, and provide targeted support or enrichment.
• Lead and collaborate with Teaching Assistants, ensuring pupils with SEND and EAL receive appropriate guidance.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and positive classroom environment through clear routines and reinforcement.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student achievement, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Participate in phase planning, staff meetings, professional development days and whole‑school events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Proven experience teaching in a UK primary setting (early‑career or seasoned teachers welcome).
• Strong knowledge of primary pedagogy, literacy, phonics and numeracy frameworks.
• Effective classroom management skills with the ability to set high behavioural expectations.
• Commitment to a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday schedule starting September 2026 for the full academic year.
