Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1)

About the role

We are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for a KS1 classroom in Leeds. You will support students, particularly those with special educational needs, and work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning plans.
• Promote students' social and emotional development to foster independence.
• Assess student progress and communicate updates to teachers and parents.
• Provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience working with SEN students.
• Patient and adaptable approach to challenging situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check.
