About the role
Reed Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a thriving primary school in Southampton. The role starts in September on a permanent basis and offers the chance to work in a supportive, inclusive environment where pupils are enthusiastic about learning.
Key responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Work with individuals and small groups to aid learning and progress.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
- Foster pupils’ confidence, independence and love of learning.
Required profile
- Experience working with primary‑aged children (school‑based or similar).
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Proactive and flexible approach.
- Commitment to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
