Principal Procurement Lead, Compute and Storage

About the role
Radiant is expanding its AI factories and GPU clusters worldwide. The Principal Procurement Lead, Compute and Storage will own the end‑to‑end procurement strategy for high‑density GPU systems, networking fabrics and storage platforms, acting as the bridge between internal infrastructure teams and leading OEMs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and refresh the category strategy for compute and storage each quarter against the technology roadmap.
- Structure, issue and score RFIs/RFPs, capture requirements and drive the process through to purchase order.
- Maintain the price book for every vendor, validate bills of materials and ensure alignment with Architecture, Technical Operations, Commercial and Finance.
- Negotiate commercial terms, volume discounts, maintenance, software bundling, freight and delivery windows.
- Run quarterly supplier scorecards, manage escalation paths and publish monthly lead‑time and allocation views.
Required profile
- 7+ years in strategic sourcing, category management or technical supply chain, with at least three years focused on IT infrastructure hardware.
- Proven experience negotiating capital purchases above $10 million directly with hardware OEMs.
- Ability to read and challenge server bills of materials, ensuring correct part numbers, optics, drives and support terms.
- Experience building CapEx and vendor cost models that finance teams rely on.
Required skills
- Strategic sourcing and category management.
- Technical supply‑chain expertise for compute and storage hardware.
- Hardware OEM negotiation (e.g., Nvidia, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Supermicro, Weka, Vast, DDN).
- CapEx modeling and vendor cost analysis.
- Knowledge of HPC, AI infrastructure and hyperscale datacentres.
