Private Client Lawyer – 4+ PQE, Cambridgeshire

About the role

The Legists are seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their Cambridgeshire office. You will manage your own caseload with a high degree of independence, delivering trusted advice across a broad range of private client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting wills and providing related advice
• Administering estates and handling probate matters
• Preparing powers of attorney and deputyship applications
• Creating and managing trusts
• Planning inheritance tax strategies
• Handling wider estate‑planning and private client issues
• Developing client relationships and delivering high‑quality service

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in private client work
• Proven ability to manage cases from instruction to completion with minimal supervision
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Ambition to progress towards a director‑level role
• Desire for greater autonomy and work‑life balance
