Private Client Lawyer – up to £65k + bonus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to run an independent caseload within a busy, well‑established practice serving the Folkestone/Ashford area. You will enjoy autonomy while having access to a supportive team, modern legal technology and a generous remuneration package.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full private client portfolio, drafting wills and providing estate‑planning advice.
• Handle estate administration matters from start to finish.
• Prepare and advise on lasting powers of attorney.
• Undertake Court of Protection work, including deputyship applications.
• Conduct client meetings, build lasting relationships and collaborate with the wider team.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (SRA or CILEX) with strong private client experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload confidently.
• Professional, personable approach with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Strong relationship‑building and commercial awareness.
• Desirable: STEP qualification, Lifetime Lawyer accreditation, Court of Protection experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LexisNexis legal research platform.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled legal technology tools.
