Private Client Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join a busy Private Client department within a reputable solicitors firm. You will support a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, handling wills, trusts, tax planning and related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents such as wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and HMRC Inheritance Tax forms.
• Prepare and manage Court of Protection, probate and estate administration files.
• Assist with tax planning, IHT calculations and trust arrangements.
• Cost Court of Protection files and prepare estate accounts.
• Respond to client enquiries and provide ongoing support for elderly clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Private Client Paralegal.
• Experience handling a broad caseload of wills, trusts and estate matters.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Strong team player with a sympathetic approach to client needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
