About the role

A respected Somerset firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its established team. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary, supporting high‑net‑worth individuals and families with bespoke estate planning services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, LPAs and inheritance tax planning.
• Provide strategic advice to high‑net‑worth clients on wealth preservation and succession.
• Supervise a Private Client Lawyer and a Legal Assistant, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in Private Client law.
• Demonstrated technical expertise across complex estate matters.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior legal staff.
• Excellent client care and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Wills drafting and execution.
• Trust creation and administration.
• Probate and estate administration.
• Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) preparation.
• Inheritance tax planning.
