Private Client Solicitor (Wills & Estate Planning)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our respected Wills and Estate Planning team in Basingstoke. You will handle a varied caseload, providing specialist advice on probate, wills, trusts and powers of attorney while working in a collaborative, client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take client instructions and manage the full probate process from grant to distribution.
• Draft wills and related testamentary documents, advising on tax and estate planning.
• Advise on and establish trusts, administer them and provide ongoing guidance.
• Draft and register Lasting Powers of Attorney and handle Court of Protection applications.
• Support the Head of Department and Partners, contribute to case‑management system development and cross‑refer clients.
• Build a network across the South of England and London to grow the caseload.

Required profile

• 3+ years post‑qualification experience in private client work.
• Strong knowledge of wills, probate and estate planning.
• Confidence in client communication and relationship building.
• Proactive, organised and commercially aware.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £50,000‑£60,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working arrangement.
