Private Client Tax Manager – Advisory & Compliance

About the role

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to join a professional services firm in Maidstone, delivering high‑quality tax advice and compliance services to private clients. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals, agricultural clients and business owners, helping them navigate complex tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on private client tax planning and compliance.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of private client tax clients.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns and related compliance tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of inheritance tax (IHT) and trust tax advisory reports.
• Support the team with complex tax queries and technical issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Professional tax or accountancy qualification (CTA, STEP or equivalent).
• Experience in IHT and trust advisory is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver tailored tax solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented approach to work.
