Private Client Tax Manager – Hybrid, £45k-£60k

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Tax Manager (or Assistant Manager) to join our growing Cambridge team. The role combines personal tax compliance, advisory projects and client relationship management, with direct exposure to partners and opportunities to develop technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, reviewing personal tax returns and compliance work.
• Support tax planning and advisory projects, conducting technical tax research.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships and act as a point of contact for partners.
• Review, delegate and oversee work performed by junior staff.

Required profile

• Experience in private client or personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to review and delegate work and manage client relationships.
• Desire to develop advisory expertise and, preferably, prior supervisory experience.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Qualifications such as CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA (or currently studying).
