Private Client Tax Manager – Personal Tax Advisory

About the role

This position manages a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth personal tax clients, delivering bespoke advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and international tax matters. You will act as a trusted adviser, solving complex tax problems and supporting the growth of the firm’s private client tax offering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, liaise internally, meet clients, approve tax computations and deliver complex advisory outcomes.
• Provide technically robust tax advice and reporting across inheritance, capital gains, income and international tax.
• Lead and develop the personal tax team through performance reviews, feedback and delegation.
• Drive operational efficiency, oversee WIP, billing, compliance trackers and adopt technology to improve productivity.
• Identify business development opportunities within existing and new client relationships and represent the firm at external events.
• Collaborate with other practice areas and contribute to firm‑wide initiatives and technology projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and/or tax adviser (CTA) with experience in a personal tax environment.
• Proven track record working with high‑net‑worth individuals and varied client bases.
• Strong academic results and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
