Private Client Tax Senior

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior to join a forward‑thinking accountancy practice in Guildford. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals and families, handling complex tax compliance and advisory matters while enjoying hybrid working and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns for high‑net‑worth clients.
• Deliver advisory services including inheritance tax (IHT) planning, residence and domicile advice, capital gains tax (CGT) considerations, and trust structuring.
• Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and external legal or financial advisers.
• Support junior team members and contribute to technical discussions.
• Collaborate across the firm to provide a seamless, joined‑up service.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified or part‑qualified.
• Experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong interest in high‑net‑worth and private client work, especially trusts and inheritance planning.
• Professional communication style and proactive, collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Tax compliance (self‑assessment returns).
• Tax advisory (IHT, domicile, CGT, trust planning).
