About the role

This senior position is based in Bristol and focuses on delivering expert private client tax advice with a strong emphasis on international tax matters. You will work for a leading independent chartered accountancy firm, supporting high‑net‑worth individuals and families in complex tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee private client tax portfolios, concentrating on cross‑border tax issues.
• Provide strategic advice on international tax planning to high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of tax compliance work prepared by junior staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in international tax legislation and advise clients accordingly.
• Support the development and training of junior team members.
• Assist in business development activities, including client acquisition and relationship management.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Professional tax or accountancy qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA).
• Extensive experience in private client tax within a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and planning strategies.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
