Private Label Strategy Lead

About the role

This is a highly commercial position within a leading food manufacturing business. The Private Label Strategy Lead will shape the strategic direction of the Retail Brand team, working closely with sales, marketing and category functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the private label portfolio.
• Collaborate with NPD, sales and category teams to align initiatives.
• Monitor brand performance against competitors and the wider category.
• Analyse market data to generate actionable insights.
• Act as the primary contact for key retail customers, supporting pricing, profitability and contract negotiations.
• Lead internal projects, manage stakeholders and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience across sales, marketing and category management, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong project‑management track record with successful product development.
• Ability to work with complex data sets and translate findings into strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
