Process Specialist – Manufacturing Improvement

About the role
Join Nestlé’s Dalston factory as a Process Specialist, reporting to the Area Manager. You will support the site through change, optimise the newly commissioned wet‑mix plant and drive continuous improvement across the beverage production lines.
Key responsibilities
- Define, validate and optimise process parameters to standardise the wet‑mix plant and ensure stable, repeatable performance.
- Protect safety and quality by establishing process controls, safe operating limits and supporting risk assessments.
- Create and maintain process parameters, recipes, specifications and work instructions with operational teams.
- Analyse process capability, KPIs, material losses and resource use; lead structured problem‑solving to improve stability, efficiency, yield and quality.
- Maintain a prioritised pipeline of technical improvements, asset‑capability needs and digital opportunities aligned with site strategy.
- Develop training and qualification materials, coach operational teams and, where authorised, assess technical competence.
Required profile
- Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Proven record of improving process stability, efficiency, quality or waste using data and structured problem solving.
- Strong understanding of process safety, food safety, hygiene, GMP and change management.
- Ability to plan trials, implement change and confirm sustained improvements.
- Effective communication and influencing skills to coach and support technical competence.

- Salary up to £48,000 per year, dependent on experience.
