Procurement Consultant – £800/day – 6‑month hybrid contract

About the role

You will support the Procurement Manager in modernising the procurement function for a leading financial services organisation. The role focuses on driving consistency, digital transformation and embedding a centre‑led Supplier Relationship Management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement standardised procurement documents, templates and toolkits across the full lifecycle.
• Design and embed a centre‑led SRM framework, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Create process maps, guidance and templates to enable effective implementation.
• Provide expert oversight on large tenders and contract negotiations.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level procurement experience, preferably within financial services or the public sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, results‑driven attitude with a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• CIPS / MCIPS / FCIPS certification.
• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Experience with project‑based procurement and large‑scale tenders.
