Procurement Manager

About the role

EKFB, a joint venture of leading civil engineering firms, is seeking a Procurement Manager to join its team in the Greatworth to Southam (G2S) area. You will lead procurement activities for a section of works on a major high‑speed rail project, ensuring all processes align with the company’s values and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement for a defined works section, overseeing tendering, award, and recommendation of work packages and orders.
• Act as the primary EKFB contact with the supply chain, ensuring communications and negotiations reflect company values.
• Conduct procurement to the highest ethical standards, prioritising value‑based decisions over lowest cost.
• Engage internal stakeholders throughout the process and secure endorsement for recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver internal presentations outlining package strategies and award recommendations.
• Assess market capacity to inform tendering decisions.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication and ability to draft formal subcontract documents.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain principles, procedures and methods.
• Proven analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Capability to manage diverse internal and external stakeholder groups to achieve project outcomes.
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
