Procurement Manager – Marketing Focus

About the role
The Procurement Manager will be based in London within the Global Finance team of the Financial Times. The role focuses on marketing procurement, overseeing agencies and consultancy providers across creative, media, social and digital channels, and supporting events‑related spend. You will work closely with the Commercial Client Group, Product & Technology and Reader Revenue Group to deliver transparent and value‑driven procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement for marketing categories, from sourcing strategy and RFP execution to supplier evaluation and commercial negotiations.
- Partner with stakeholders across Reader Revenue, Commercial Client and Product & Technology groups to meet diverse procurement needs.
- Develop sourcing strategies that optimise total cost of ownership and deliver sustainable value.
- Manage contract lifecycles, including renewals, renegotiations and risk mitigation.
- Apply supplier management frameworks, support governance and monitor supplier performance.
- Collaborate with Finance to track savings and validate value delivery.
- Use Coupa to manage sourcing and contracting processes, supporting stakeholders and suppliers.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
Required profile
- Proven procurement experience in marketing and professional services, including sourcing and managing agencies or consultancy providers.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
- Analytical and commercial acumen to interpret spend data and market insights.
- Experience using procurement systems such as Coupa or similar platforms.
- Interest in procurement innovation, AI‑enabled tools and digital procurement practices.
