Procurement Manager - Senior Buyer - Indirect Category Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute Indirect Procurement / Senior Buyer / Category Manager to join a growing procurement function, driving strategic sourcing initiatives across a diverse range of indirect categories. The role works in a hybrid environment, partnering with manufacturing sites and business functions across multiple locations to optimise spend, mitigate risk, and support operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned to business objectives, leading end‑to‑end sourcing projects, tenders, RFQs and negotiations.
• Build and maintain effective supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive performance, innovation and risk mitigation.
• Partner with operational, engineering, manufacturing and corporate stakeholders to translate requirements into procurement strategies and provide commercial expertise.
• Deliver validated savings, cost avoidance initiatives and support annual budgeting and spend forecasting.
• Monitor market trends, analyse spend data and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.
• Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or engineering environment.
• Proven track record of delivering savings and procurement value.
• Experience managing indirect spend categories and supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience leading tender and RFQ processes from inception to implementation.
