Procurement Manager – Strategic Buying & Supplier Leadership

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for procurement and product compliance within a fast‑growing manufacturing organisation. The role will protect margins through disciplined buying, manage supplier performance and drive data‑led decisions across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Own procurement and consumables budgets, delivering cost reductions and landed‑cost improvements.
• Lead supplier onboarding, contract and MOQ management, and improve performance using KPIs and scorecards.
• Maintain a supply‑chain risk register, develop contingency plans and manage emergency stock.
• Oversee forecasting, safety‑stock policy and remediation of fast/slow‑moving inventory in partnership with sales.
• Produce dashboards and reports, enhancing ERP, BI and AI capabilities to support buying and commercial decisions.
• Lead product compliance, certification and audit readiness, embedding sustainability and ESG checks in supplier selection.
• Line‑manage and develop the procurement and compliance teams, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure procurement policies, approval levels and ethical standards are documented and audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑regional procurement teams, preferably with exposure to Asian markets.
• Background in a manufacturing environment with strong strategic buying expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross‑functionally with production, finance, sales and the board.
