Product Innovation Engineer – Hybrid – up to £80,000

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Innovation Engineer to join a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business. The role focuses on creating and refining prototype products and will be based in Whitstable with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop prototype products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with the testing team to ensure prototypes meet specifications and amend designs as needed.
• Work closely with internal engineering and product teams to align designs with project requirements.
• Investigate failed prototype tests and implement corrective actions.
• Present concepts and technical details to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in product development or prototype engineering.
• Higher National Certificate or degree in an engineering discipline.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (or comparable 3D CAD software).
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modelling tools.
