Product Lead, Agentic Payments Platform

About the role

Airwallex, an AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is looking for a Product Lead to pioneer its Agentic Payments Platform. You will lead the Payments Product team that builds and optimises the core clearing and settlement platform powering money movement across card networks, banks, ledgers and merchants' wallets. The role covers strategy, solution definition and delivery from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end merchant experience, from instant, low-friction onboarding through to the ongoing lifecycle.
• Optimise global payment flows, such as intelligent batching, fee netting and routing, to improve settlement speed, accuracy and cash velocity.
• Strengthen infrastructure by driving reliability, compliance and liquidity management for reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
• Deploy AI-native capabilities, embedding autonomous agents to interact with merchants, collect feedback and automate traditional workflows.
• Work closely with product, engineering, design and commercial teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a high-growth environment, ideally in fintech or platform products.
• Bachelor's degree or higher; technical or engineering coursework a plus.
• Ability to engage in architectural discussions around high-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Strong communication, analytical and collaborative skills, and a bias for action.
• Preferred: experience building or scaling API products in fintech or payments.
