Product Manager – Agentic Commerce

About the role

We are building the infrastructure that lets merchants be discovered, transacted with and paid through AI agents. Agentic commerce is moving rapidly from concept to production, and Checkout.com needs a product leader to shape the layer that connects this emerging ecosystem. In this 0→1 role you will define the strategy and deliver the first live catalogue, cart and payment capabilities for AI‑driven commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy for Agentic Commerce, balancing immediate merchant needs with long‑term market development.
• Transform a fragmented protocol landscape (ACP, UCP, Visa, Mastercard, emerging standards) into a coherent, protocol‑agnostic product experience.
• Build live catalogue and inventory feeds that make merchants discoverable across AI surfaces, and develop cart and orchestration capabilities.
• Extend Checkout.com’s payment strengths into agentic flows, including delegated credentials, authentication, consent, risk decisioning and dispute evidence.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery with Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Partnerships, Marketing and Sales, making decisions and removing dependencies.

Required profile

• Proven product management experience building merchant‑facing infrastructure, platforms or API products.
• Strong knowledge of card‑payment flows – authorisation, tokenisation, PSP/acquirer processes, wallets, 3DS/SCA, risk and scheme requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous 0→1 problems from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Comfort working with external partners and senior stakeholders, representing the company in negotiations.
• Curiosity about AI agents and their impact on commerce and payments.
