Product Manager – Financial Services Platform

About the role

EC Markets is seeking a Product Manager to shape and deliver its end‑to‑end product vision for a technology‑led brokerage platform. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will ensure the offering is commercially viable, customer‑centric, regulator‑ready, and technically scalable across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of a structured, commercially focused product function and refine the product vision with senior leadership.
• Translate strategic objectives into a prioritized 6‑12 month roadmap, defining key customer segments and measurable KPIs.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, write epics, features, user stories and detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
• Collaborate with technology teams to prioritize development, set acceptance criteria, and track delivery milestones.
• Act as the primary product liaison for engineering, translating business needs into technical specifications and handling product‑related escalations.
• Help establish product governance, release approval processes, and transparent prioritisation models while ensuring compliance with FCA risk and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product management within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to define and track product KPIs.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge business and engineering teams.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive product discipline before a larger team is in place.

Required skills

• Product backlog management and creation of PRDs.
• Definition of epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with FCA regulatory considerations.
