Production Coordinator

About the role

The Production Coordinator will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to keep projects on track, ensuring clear communication of priorities, deadlines, and milestones. Based in the Southampton office, the role blends hands‑on workshop coordination with office‑based planning to support efficient production workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production trackers, planning documents and progress reports for multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate workshop resources, labour allocation and material availability in line with business priorities.
• Develop and implement digital planning and production tracking systems.
• Produce and update project schedules, timelines and Gantt charts.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, composites or similar production environment.
• Strong planning, organisation and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple teams.
• Comfortable working both in a hands‑on workshop and an office setting.
• Detail‑oriented with a practical, problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and balance several projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with production planning or project tracking software.
• Ability to create and manage Gantt charts.
