Production & Factory Manager – Lead Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Our client, an international manufacturer, is looking for a hands‑on Production & Factory Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality output while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all factory functions including production, planning, quality, maintenance and dispatch.
• Lead, motivate and develop production teams to meet output, quality and safety targets.
• Implement and monitor KPIs for productivity, efficiency, waste reduction and on‑time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, company policies and industry standards.
• Drive Lean, 5S and Kaizen initiatives to optimise workflow and minimise downtime.
• Manage resource planning, shift patterns and labour allocation.
• Collaborate with senior management on capacity planning, forecasting and operational strategy.
• Maintain strong communication between Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Factory Manager or similar senior manufacturing role.
• Strong leadership ability with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to operational challenges.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery and workflow optimisation.
• Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality standards.
