Production Manager – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our night‑shift operations at a well‑established food manufacturing site in Swindon. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high‑quality production while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the night‑shift production team to meet daily plans safely, on time and in full.
• Monitor and improve productivity, efficiency, waste reduction and labour utilisation.
• Coach and develop Team Leaders and Production Operatives.
• Track KPIs such as OEE, downtime, waste and labour efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, BRCGS and Health & Safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Production Manager or Supervisor in manufacturing, preferably food or FMCG.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, BRCGS).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and drive operational performance.
