Production Manager – Sheet Metal & Amada Machinery

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our sheet‑metal manufacturing operations in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will ensure that production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards while meeting budgetary and schedule targets.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and oversee daily production schedules, allocating resources and managing budgets.
- Supervise manufacturing staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Monitor quality control processes and enforce health & safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimise raw‑material flow and streamline operations.
- Report production performance to senior management and recommend continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Production Manager, preferably in sheet‑metal manufacturing.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Solid understanding of quality standards and health & safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with Amada machinery and related tools.
