Production Operative – Chemical Operations

About the role

Univar Solutions is seeking a Production Operative to join its Cadishead site. You will work within a team of Chemical Operatives, handling hazardous liquids, preparing and filling containers, and supporting safe warehouse operations on a rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, fill and store hazardous chemicals safely.
• Load and off‑load vehicles, including bulk liquid tankers into holding tanks.
• Operate filling machines for IBCs, kegs and drums.
• Ensure material is produced accurately and complies with EHS&Q procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and follow all policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Present finished material to the highest standard according to internal procedures.

Required profile

• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without supervision when required.
• Ambition to develop and progress within the company.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule (Week 1 06:00‑14:30, Week 2 09:30‑18:00).

Required skills

• Forklift licence (counter‑balance) – desirable.
• Knowledge of valves, pumps and meters for product movements.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE).
• Ability to work safely with hazardous liquid chemicals.
