Production Operative – Manufacturing & Assembly

About the role

Responsive Personnel is partnering with a leading uPVC manufacturer to recruit a Production Operative for its Swindon facility. You will join the warehouse and production teams to help fabricate components for windows and doors in a fast‑paced, batch‑manufacturing environment. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑15:45, and offers on‑the‑job training and progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication of uPVC and aluminium windows and doors across multiple production stages.
• Operate pneumatic hand tools, saws, cutting equipment, corner cleaners, milling machines and crimping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow technical instructions and production specifications to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Support the team by reporting any issues and contributing to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a factory or production setting.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Positive, “can‑do” attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• Motivated to learn and develop within a fast‑paced environment.
