Production Planner – Lithographic Print

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a successful manufacturing business in Birkenhead, specialising in lithographic print. The role focuses on creating and managing production schedules that maximise machine efficiency while meeting customer deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
• Plan production to maximise machine utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Monitor capacity, adjust plans as needed to meet customer delivery dates.
• Coordinate with production, customer service and management teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure required materials and resources are available for scheduled runs.
• Maintain accurate planning records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Production Planner or Production Scheduler.
• Manufacturing background, preferably with print, label or packaging experience.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good IT proficiency and communication skills.
