Production Support Internship – Filton Plant (12.5 months)

About the role

Join Airbus Filton's Production Support team for a 12.5‑month internship supporting the A400M Wing, A350 Equipped Gear Beam and Wing Technology Development Centre. You will work on strategic projects that improve safety, quality, cost and environmental impact while helping implement the Airbus Operating System.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate projects with secured funding to reduce work content and improve performance.
• Support the financial Capex submission process for new and innovative ideas.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor, collaborating with Operations, manufacturing engineering and digital functions.
• Assist with local rate readiness concerning tooling, equipment and facilities.
• Support the Head of Department with resource planning and strategic activities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate student (must remain enrolled for the full placement duration).
• Studying towards a degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field or equivalent.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence to lead sessions and present findings.
• Interest in coding, digital tools and self‑development.

What we offer

• Salary of £24,246 per annum (35 hours per week).
