Production Team Leader – Electrical/Mechanical

About the role

Lead manufacturing operations on the night shift, executing production plans, driving efficiency, and ensuring safety and quality standards at Armstrong Fluid Technology in Droitwich Spa.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily production schedules, optimise efficiency, and manage labour utilisation.
• Lead, coach and develop the production team, conduct shift handovers and manage staffing through ADP.
• Monitor quality and safety metrics, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory, BOM variances and material procurement to sustain continuous flow.
• Generate production reports, track KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, including sustainability projects.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Significant experience in heavy manufacturing, assembly or similar production environments.
• Proven supervisory experience leading hourly production staff with a safety‑first mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• ERP system experience (preferably LN).
• ADP time‑and‑attendance management.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Root‑cause analysis and quality‑control techniques.
