Professional Negligence Solicitor – London

About the role

We are seeking two Professional Negligence Solicitors to join a nationally‑recognised law firm in London. The firm advises corporate and private clients across more than 25 practice areas and is regularly ranked in The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of professional negligence claims from inception to completion.
• Attend clients, take instructions and prepare cases, including drafting witness statements and processing evidence.
• Handle correspondence, maintain accurate time‑costing and ensure compliance with monthly file reviews.
• Represent clients in High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings and attend conferences.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members where appropriate.
• Report directly to the Department Director and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor holding a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of application.
• Experience handling complex professional negligence claims, preferably in a litigation environment.
• Strong analytical ability, proactive client care and a sympathetic approach to client needs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high‑performing team.
