Programme Engineering Manager (Nuclear Project)

About the role

Sizewell C is seeking a senior Programme Engineering Manager to act as the pivotal link between the Technical Directorate and delivery programmes on one of the UK’s largest nuclear projects. Based in Bristol with flexible on‑site requirements, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure technical expertise is fully integrated into project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary engineering team drawn from the Technical Directorate, Delivery Programmes and Nuclear Services.
• Manage direct reports and grow the engineering workforce within the Technical Directorate.
• Provide proactive leadership, clear direction and expert guidance to meet demanding project milestones.
• Champion project behaviours, culture and standards, fostering accountability, collaboration and excellence.
• Ensure seamless integration of technical solutions with programme priorities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in engineering management within complex, high‑risk environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑time contract with a salary of £70,000‑£90,000 per year.
• Annual leave: 28 days (rising to 30 after 5 years) plus bank holidays.
