Programme Manager – Children & Young People Alliance

About the role

The Programme Manager will support the day‑to‑day mobilisation and operation of the Cheshire & Merseyside Children and Young People (CYP) Alliance, a collaborative forum driving health priorities for children across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor multiple workstreams, ensuring clear programme controls, milestones and performance dashboards.
• Facilitate clinical and provider engagement, translating complex service discussions into actionable plans and delivery outputs.
• Develop and maintain programme and project plans, track actions, decisions, risks and issues.
• Review existing workstreams and recommend continuation, redesign, pause or closure.
• Support the mobilisation of the Alliance and its Design Working Group.
• Contribute to standards assessments, cases for change and model‑of‑care development across partners.
• Build and sustain relationships with providers, clinicians, ICB colleagues and regional stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, evaluate delivery and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports, briefings, meeting papers and escalation documentation for governance forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or project management within a healthcare setting.
• Confidence working with senior clinicians, operational leaders and provider organisations.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to turn complex discussions into clear actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
