Project Architect

About the role

BB&C Architects Limited is seeking an experienced and driven Project Architect to lead high‑profile contemporary projects within heritage environments. You will be responsible for guiding projects from concept design through to completion across all RIBA stages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of contemporary projects set in historic contexts.
• Manage the full project lifecycle across RIBA stages, from concept to handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Maintain and develop client relationships throughout the project.
• Oversee technical documentation and ensure compliance with conservation standards.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the practice’s growth and leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years post‑UK qualification experience in architecture.
• Strong design, technical and project delivery capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in heritage, repair, adaptation or conservation of historic buildings is advantageous.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA membership) expected.
