Project Business Material Manager

About the role

Hilti is seeking a Project Business Material Manager to ensure that large‑scale construction projects receive the right materials, at the right time, and in the right place. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain, engineering and project delivery, supporting complex, international projects from capture through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project material forecasts to enable effective supply planning.
• Validate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and translate engineering outputs into structured demand plans.
• Identify material risks, bottlenecks and supply constraints, and drive mitigation actions.
• Coordinate material availability across market organisations, regional hubs and global supply sources.
• Lead forecasting and inventory discussions within Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Manage inventory strategies to balance service levels with capital efficiency.
• Monitor project inventory performance, obsolescence and stock levels against KPIs.
• Provide supply‑chain insights during project capture, planning and execution phases.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Logistics, Finance and Materials Management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in Materials Management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain or Operations, preferably in a project‑based environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with solid problem‑solving capabilities.
