Project Controller

About the role

As a Project Controller you will support the planning, tracking and reporting of engineering projects. Working alongside experienced planners and project managers, you will help keep schedules on track, monitor costs and assist with risk and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating project schedules, identifying potential delays.
• Support cost and performance tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Prepare and analyse project reports, dashboards and performance updates for stakeholders.
• Help create and monitor project risks and change requests, analysing impacts on schedule and budget.
• Maintain accurate project records, baselines and logs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and finance teams to ensure data consistency.

Required profile

• Proactive, organised and eager to learn about project controls in a technical environment.
• Some experience in project planning, scheduling or coordination (e.g., coursework, internship).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with planning software such as Open Plan or Primavera P6 (bonus).
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Knowledge of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

• Salary between £40,000 and £45,000 per year.

• 37.5‑hour, four‑day work week (Monday‑Thursday).
