Project Coordinator – IT Projects (9‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support our IT Project Managers on a 9‑month contract based in Leatherhead. The role involves maintaining project plans, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update project plans, supporting IT Project Managers with planning and re‑planning activities.
• Monitor project progress, manage schedules, critical paths, dependencies and provide status reporting.
• Coordinate configuration and change management processes to ensure deliverables are reviewed and approved on time.
• Support or deputise for IT Project Managers during stand‑ups, sprint ceremonies and project checkpoints.
• Utilise Jira/Kanban boards to track tasks and improve team delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in a programme or PMO environment supporting Project Managers.
• Knowledge of project planning, change management, RAID management and reporting.
• Strong report writing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working with public sector clients and third‑party suppliers.
• Proven ability to deliver in fast‑paced projects with fixed deadlines.

Required skills

• Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and/or Microsoft Project.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables; macros desirable).
• Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience using Jira or other Kanban tools.
• Working knowledge of software delivery, system integration and Azure/IaaS hosting environments.
