Project Engineer – Water Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Finlay Jude Associates are seeking a Project Engineer to deliver projects on the Anglian Water IOS Framework Contract based in Colchester. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, you will support the delivery of civil and MEICA works across water and wastewater assets throughout East Anglia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects to agreed time, cost, quality and specification requirements.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, regulatory frameworks and stakeholder requirements.
• Support the delivery of civil and MEICA works across water and wastewater assets.
• Manage and record asset changes within corporate systems.
• Raise Early Warning Notices and Change Requests when programme or cost impacts arise.
• Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams for effective contract management.
• Act as a key interface with the client, maintaining clear communication and strong relationships.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative engineering solutions.
• Support both site‑based and office‑based project activities across the region.

Required profile

• Motivated and practical engineer with strong technical ability.
• Experience in a customer‑facing or client‑driven environment.
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and both site and office settings.
• Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn about clean water and water‑recycling processes.
