Project Lead – Payments Transformation

About the role

RedCompass Labs is seeking a Project Lead to drive payments‑modernisation programmes for its global clients. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle – initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, budgeting and closure.
• Define, communicate and align project goals and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a mid‑level project plan that serves as a quality gate for the organisation.
• Identify and mitigate risks early, track dependencies and drive momentum in weekly delivery sessions.
• Provide clear, concise updates to senior audiences and present progress, risks and recommendations to steering committees.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams and adapt to varied client cultures.

Required profile

• Proven ability to plan thoroughly, anticipate risks and keep scope, schedule and budget on track.
• Strong communication skills, able to tailor messages for both operational teams and executive stakeholders.
• Resilient and decisive, comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Experience embedding within client organisations and influencing cross‑functional groups.
