Project Manager – 6 Month Fixed-Term (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role is hybrid, based in Manchester city centre, and focuses on coordinating business and technology projects to support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with objectives, timescales and business priorities.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and key milestones across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, subject‑matter experts and external suppliers to drive project progress.
• Gather and translate business requirements into clear project objectives.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops and steering groups.
• Monitor risks, dependencies and actions, resolving issues promptly.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
• Support wider business change initiatives and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and governance.

Required profile

• Organised and proactive individual who enjoys bringing people together to achieve outcomes.
• Previous experience delivering business or technology‑related projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and project coordination abilities.
• Good IT literacy with confidence to quickly understand new systems and technologies.
