Project Officer – Solar PV & Battery Storage

About the role

This temporary Project Officer role supports the delivery of a Solar PV and Battery Storage Energy Services programme in the South East. The position is hybrid, requiring 2‑3 days per week in the Chichester office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide essential support for the Solar PV and Battery Storage programme, ensuring projects meet time, cost, quality and statutory standards.
• Liaise with contractors, schools, planning authorities, internal departments and Distribution Network Operators to maintain smooth programme delivery.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate communications activities, tracking impact against programme timelines and objectives.
• Collect and collate key documentation, attend meetings, follow up on actions and contribute to reporting.
• Occasionally visit project sites across the county.

Required profile

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure or energy projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external teams.
• Flexibility to work hybrid and travel to sites as needed.
